President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries in the federal civil service to address existing and upcoming vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.
This marks the second batch of permanent secretaries appointed by President Tinubu, following a similar round in June that included appointees from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, South-East, and South-South regions.
According to the statement, the appointments were made based on recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, following a thorough selection process.
The new permanent secretaries are:
- Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State)
- Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State)
- Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State)
- Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State)
- Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State)
- Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
- Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State)
- Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)
President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to exhibit greater commitment, diligence, and innovation in the discharge of their duties to serve the nation effectively.
