The PSC, in a statement by its spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, revealed that the promoted officers underwent written and oral examinations at the commission’s headquarters on December 16.

The Commission Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (retd.), emphasized the importance of examinations for career advancement, stating that written and oral assessments would now be mandatory for promotions across all ranks in the Nigeria Police Force.

He further encouraged officers to enhance their skills and align with global best practices, particularly in information and communication technology (ICT).
