FG Shortlists 11 Directors for Permanent Secretaries Appointment

The memo, signed by Dr. Emmanuel Meribole on behalf of the examination committee, stated, “The following eleven (11) candidates are invited to the oral interview phase of the selection process for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, having successfully completed Stages I and II of the exercise.”

A memo from the OHCSF, signed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, on October 7, 2024, indicated that officials currently undergoing disciplinary procedures were barred from applying for the positions of permanent secretaries.

The memo also confirmed that the recruitment process had received approval from President Bola Tinubu.

A total of 38 directors participated in the first stage of the selection process, with 19 advancing to the second stage. Of these, 11 successfully passed and have now moved on to the final stage.

At the conclusion of the process, President Tinubu is expected to announce the appointments of the new Permanent Secretaries.
