Ex-Rep, Faparusi, Lauds Tinubu, Oyebanji’s Partnership for Smooth Operation of Ekiti Airport …. says president committed to growth of states, LGs

Faparusi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, said the collaboration exhibited by Nigeria Airspace Management Agency(NAMA), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), at different levels of development, facilitated the success being recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the transportation facility.

The former Ekiti Commissioner, said this in a statement by his Media office and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, on Monday.

Faparusi said the advancement being made by Governor Oyebanji to fasttrack actions on the commencement of full operation by the airport could have been aborted, but for the readiness and partnership demonstrated by the federal agencies.

He said the action buttressed the fact that President Tinubu is committed to the growth of the states as subnational level of government, and the local governments, which had earlier being granted autonomy through his instrumentality .

“I salute the partnership demonstrated by President Tinubu to the growth of the subnational through increased federal allocations to states and granting of autonomy to the 774 local governments in Nigeria through autonomy that will guarantee direct allocation payment.

“Most interesting was the commitment the federal agencies like FAAN, NCAA and NAMA showed to the completion and commencement of operations by the Ekiti agro Allied International airport.

“The granting of licence by NCAA for commercial operation and calibration of equipment by NAMA, and provision of security by FAAN, were part of the steps taken by Tinubu’s government to ensure that the facility begins operation smoothly and timely for the benefit of Ekiti and Nigerian nation”.

The ex-representative of Gbonyin/Ekiti East/Emure federal constituency, described the airport facility as a game changer in the development facet of Ekiti State that will expose it to better business explorations and launch the state on a global map as an investment-friendly environment.

Faparusi said the sustenance of the multi billion Naira project commenced by immediate past administration by Governor Oyebanji showed that continuity in governance is more beneficial to the state as obtainable in Lagos.

“Governor Oyebanji campaigned on the mantra of continuity in governance, and today, Ekiti people are reaping the benefits in diverse ways, because we have a governor who can foster strong working relationship with the federal government”.
