Former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Major General Christopher Jemitola, passed away on Thursday after collapsing at the IBB Golf Course in Abuja.
Family sources confirmed that he was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Jemitola, who hailed from Ososo in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, served as Obasanjo’s ADC from 2003 to 2007 while still a colonel.
He later held key positions, including Corps Commander of the Nigerian Army Signals, Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to Brazil, Director of Army Public Relations, and Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) in the Nigerian Army before his retirement.
