EKSU Denies Involvement Of Its VC In Contract Scam

The Management of the Ekiti State University,EKSU, Ado-Ekti,has denied an allegation  linking the Vice Chancellor,  Professor Edward Olanipekun with a contract scam for the supply of laptops.

A news release by the Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr Bode Olofinmuagun said one Dr. Sylvester with WhatsApp number 07040633887 is currently posing as the Vice Chancellor’s intermediary asking unsuspecting people to prepare and submit quotations to the Chairman, Ministry Tenders Board, Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, for the supply of laptops worth #86 million.

In the release, Mr Olofinmuagun added: “that the action is obviously an attempt to dupe people and to drag the name our Vice Chancellor into a dubious business deal”.

He emphasized that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun does not have any relationship with the said Dr Sylvester and

anyone who transacts  business with him under this guise does so at his/her own risk.
