EKITI STATE 2023 PARAMILITARY GAMES: Police Team Wins 28 Medals, Emerges Overall winner

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundare Dare, has congratulated the Ekiti State Police Command team for emerging the overall best and medals table leader in the just concluded 2923 Ekiti State paramilitary Game.

The Ekiti State Police Command contingent, out of the 26 games made available for the tournament, won 16 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 3 bronze medals to be crowned the best team of this year’s tournament.

One PC Ojo Kehinde, during the tournament, broke the National Record of 20.2. after throwing 22.6 in female SHOT PUT game while corporal Oloruntoba Babalola threw 73.5 in men Discus game to break the National Record of 67.80.

In a release made available to  newsmen by the the State PPRO, DSP Abutu Sunday, it was revealed that Ekiti State Police team won at least a medal in all the games available during the tournament except in JUDO, DRAUGHT and FOOTBALL.

The Commissioner of Police, while commending the leadership and the entire contingent for this incredible achievement, tasked them to ensure greater successes and achievements in the subsequent tournaments.
