The Police Public Relations Officer of Ekiti State Command, DSP Sunday Abutu has confirmed the arrest of a deaf and dumb man, Mr. Sunday Alabi, for allegedly murdering a young farmer known as Sikiru, aka Badoo.
The incident reportedly occurred at Ipole Farm Settlement, Agbado Ekiti, Ayekire Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
According to reports, the deaf and dumb man had gone to the farm of Sikiru to steal some maize and when Sikiru came out to challenge him, the suspect attacked him with a machete and cut off his head.
The victim was left in the pool of his own blood before some other farmers saw him and reported the case to the police.
