Ekiti, Ondo, others get new police commissionersof Police

This announcement follows recent promotions within the Nigeria Police Force, as sanctioned by the PSC last week.

New Postings

In a statement issued on Tuesday by PSC spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani, the following appointments were confirmed:

CP Shettima Mohammed: Posted to Nasarawa State Command.

CP Rabin Mohammed: Assigned to Kaduna State Command.

CP Adepoju Adewale: Now in charge of Rivers State Command.

CP Mohammed Azare: Appointed as the new CP of Akwa Ibom State Command.

CP Wilfred Afolabi: Posted to Ondo State Command.

CP Joseph Eribo: Redeployed from Akwa Ibom to Ekiti State Command.

Leadership Call

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hashimu Argungu (retd.), described the appointments as a significant call to national service.

Argungu urged the new commissioners to align with the government’s commitment to stabilizing the nation and ensuring safety and security in their respective states.

“The commission will closely monitor their performance and encourage them to excel in their new roles,” Argungu stated. “We expect them to reciprocate this trust by rededicating themselves to the service of their fatherland.”

The PSC emphasized its commitment to supporting and tracking the progress of the newly appointed commissioners to ensure the effective delivery of their mandates.
