Ekiti Lawmaker, Fatunla Admonishes Residents To Visit Diagnostic Centre For Cancer Prevention, Treatment

The Lawmaker representing Ikole Constituency 1, in the Ekiti State House of Asembly Hon. Femi Fatunla has moved a motion on the need to focus and improve the Adunni Olayinka Diagnostic Centre in Ado Ekiti to a World Standard for optimal performance and to create more awareness on the importance of early detection of cancers. 

The motion which was seconded by Hon. Abimbola Solanke (Moba 1) was extensively debated by some of the Lawmakers at the plenary, calling the state government to put more effort on advocacy and enlightenment of the general public on the prevention and possible treatment of cancer in the state”

Hon. Yomi Ayorinde (Ido Osi 1) and Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu (Irepodun/Ifelodun 2) also lend their voices to the motion, urging the government to equip the center adequately and employ more hands to run the center while also making Medical Tests compulsory for all political office holders in the state.

Hon. Femi Fatunla therefore, enjoined  men in the state to visit the center for prevention and treatment of prostrate cancer, stressing that the Centre was established to take care of all forms of cancer.
