Ekiti Assembly Transmits List Of Confirmed Commissioner-Nominees To Governor

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has announced the successful transmission of its Resolution on the list of successful nominees to the Executive for further action(s).

In a release made available in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Oke stated that the transmission of the list of the screened and confirmed Twenty-One (21) Commissioner nominees forwarded to the House by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji completes the required constitutional processes on the appointment to the office of Commissioner as enshrined in Section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to the House spokesman, he noted that upon transmission of the list to the governor, it is expected that he would undertake the swearing-in and assignment of portfolios to the Commissioners.

“The successful transmission of the Resolution of the House by the Clerk Mr. Tola Esan after all administrative procedures have been met, represents a vital step forward in the collective pursuit of a prosperous and inclusive Ekiti State” he added.

He concluded by affirming that the Ekiti State House of Assembly as a responsive and progressive institution remains dedicated to upholding the principles of good governance and delivering on the aspirations of the people.
