Ekiti Assembly Spokesman, Babatunde Oke Canvases Support for Gov. Oyebanji, Deputy   … extends end of year largesse to constituents

Oke who made the call at a constituency outreach and empowerment programme he organised noted that the duo of Oyebanji and Afuye are excellent leaders worthy of support for continuity.

The lawmaker who is also the spokesperson of the state assembly distributed bags of rice and cash gifts to several categories of people invited to the event across the 5 wards that makes up the axis. 

Prominent figures who graced the event included the APC chairman in Ikere local government  Mr Kayode Oyebode, who described Oke as an exceptional personality with highly commendable records.

Others in attendance were, Party Chairmen from the 5 wards, youth Leaders, women Leaders, LG Party Excos from the constituency selected members from wards and Unit representatives.

Also, groups of Idoma, Ebira, Hausa and Igala communities and representatives of the National Road Transport Workers, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Okada Riders Association in Ikere joined the programme.

Hon. Tokunbo Omotayo, former member of the Ekiti assembly and the SLA to Rep member  Ojuawo and others who graced the occasion were impressed by the gesture of Oke as several attendees applauded his brilliance as a lawmaker and his compassion for the people’s representative.

Oke explained that he put the programme together to give back to his constituency and bring smiles to the faces of the people.

He added that he found it imperative to also engage the people to let them know important steps being taken by the house of assembly to make laws that benefit the people.

He informed the people that the 7th Ekiti State House of Assembly remains committed to supporting the shared prosperity agenda of the Oyebanji administration urging the Ekiti masses to contribute their quota to complement government efforts.
