Eid-el- fitri: FUOYE VC, Fasina Felicitates Muslim Staff, Assures Commitment To Serve

Vice-Chancellor Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, has rejoiced with Muslim staff of the university on the successful completion of this year’s Eid-ei-fitr, urging them not to forget sublimity and lessons of the Ramadan as this would go a long way to foster peaceful co-existence already reigning since his administration began two years ago.

Prof. Fasina in a message of Goodwill released by the university Public Relations Officer, Mr. Foluso Ogunmodede, to journalists in Ekiti State, said the Muslim staff should allow the good lessons of Ramadan to work for the steady growth and development of the university with a view to jointly lifting FUOYE to greater heights.

Accordingly, Prof. Fasina said hands must be on deck to ensure that the primary objective of FUOYE’s founding fathers must be achieved especially when the university was already on the upward scale, meritoriously competing with the nation’s first generation universities.

This, he said would further boost the university’s ranking if the spiritual lessons learned during the Ramadan were brought to bear on the university for positive transformation.

He said:”On behalf of the Governing Council, management, Senate, Staff and students, I congratulate you on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. While asking for spiritual obligation, I pray to Allah to reward you for your sacrifices during the Ramadan fast.

“We should not forget the important lessons of the Ramadan which includes our relationship with one another in the discharge of our primary duties for the advancement of our great university.

“Also, at the heart of your faith and a major demand on all faithful is the requirement to commit yourselves to wholesome living which entails love for one another and love for fellow humans in regardless of Creed.
