The White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, announced on Friday that deportation flights for migrants have commenced under the directive of United States President Donald Trump.
In a post shared on her X account, Leavitt revealed that the initiative marks a firm stand by President Trump on the issue of illegal migration. The post included images of detainees being escorted onto a US military aircraft for deportation.
“Deportation flights have begun,” Leavitt tweeted. “President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences.”
While details about the detainees and their destinations remain undisclosed, the announcement follows Trump’s recent executive order suspending the Refugee Admissions Program.
