Court Remands Two Under-Aged Boys For Raping 11-Yr-Old Girl

A Court in Lagos has remanded two under aged boys to Borstal Correctional Center, Abeokuta, Ogun State for allegedly defiling an 11- year-old girl .

The 17-old defendants, who are students, live with their parents at 2, Oguntolu St., Shomolu, Lagos

They were arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged conspiracy and defilement.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, who refused taken their plea, ordered their remand at the Borstal Correctional Center, until Sept. 6 for Director of Public Prosecution’s advice.

Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem told the court that the offences were committed between April and June at the defendants’ resident.

Akeem alleged that the defendants always defiled their victim at the slightest opportunity, while living together as neighbours.

According to Akeem, the victim eventually confided in a female army officer,  who lives in the neighborhood,  because  the defendants had allegedly threatened to kill her should she speak out.

The offences, according to the prosecutor, contravene Sections 210 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
