A call has gone to Civil Servants in Ekiti State to always display diligence and commitment in their duties so that they can leave outstanding legacies that will stand the test of time.
The State Commissioner for Local Govt Affairs Hon Folorunso Olabode made the call in Ado-Ekiti while receiving the retiring Head of Service (HoS) , Engr Sunday Komolafe who was on a farewell visit to the Ministry in Ado Ekiti.
Hon Olabode congratulated the retiring HoS on his outstanding record as he’s bowing out in the State Public Service, describing the celebrant as a good man having known him since 2010.
He appreciated his amiable and kind heart that are his hallmarks in the service.
Olabode rejoiced with Engr. Komolafe for getting to the peak of his career in the service and prayed to continue to grant him sound health.
The Commissioner therefore implored everyone to emulate his exemplary leadership in the discharge of their duties.
In his farewell address, the retiring Head of Service, Engr. Sunday Komolafe lauded the State government for giving him the enablement to serve meritoriously for 35 Years.
Engr. Komolafe commended the management of MLGA for the warm reception accorded him describing the ministry as his second home having worked there few years ago.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary MLGA Mr Babatunde Olaoye, congratulated the retiring Head of Service for a good record of service and appreciated his numerous achievements, wishing him well in his future endeavours in good health, strength and vitality.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of gifts to the outgoing Head of Service and the rendition of specially composed farewell songs by the Ministry’s choir.
