Commissioner Charges Staff On Diligence, Quality Service Delivery As PS Bows Out Of Service

The State Commissioner for LGA, Hon.Folorunso Olabode who gave the charge at the signing out (pen-down) ceremony organized for the retired Permanent Secretary  of the Ministry, Mr. Adedayo Ajobiewe in Ado Ekiti.

Hon. Olabode congratulated the retired PS on his successful bowing out of service, describing the Celebrant as a good man, considering the arrays of people from within and outside who came to grace the occasion.

The Commissioner stressed that Mr. Ajobiewe is an amiable officer, a good adviser, an embodiment of humility and hardwork worthy of emulation, noting that he would be the 5th PS retired that he would work with in the civil service.

He said it was a rare privilege and honour to have worked with a dutiful perfect gentle man, commending him for services rendered as the Cabinet Secretary between 2019 to 2022 as PS where he had earlier worked as a Director too.

Olabode explained that Ajobiewe is a reliable individual who could work without supervision.

The LGA boss commended him for his dexterity and efficiency at work and implored everyone to emulate his exemplary leadership in the discharge of their duties. 

Responding, Mr Adedayo Ajobiewe lauded the State government for giving him the enablement to serve meritoriously for 33yrs, stressing that his success was due to the grace of God and his numerous past experiences in the course of his public service journey in the Teaching, Local Government and Civil Services respectively.

He disclosed seeing different situations in the course of the journey with low and high moments where both situations had shaped him, having worked with different bosses in different capacities, coming across different people in different forms of life as well.

The retiree appreciated the MLGA Commissioner for making his 8 months of working with him memorable and worthwhile as the short  period will  linger in his heart for ever.

He called on Staff to exhibit good attitudes to work and discharge their duties effectively.

Fairwell songs were rendered for him by the Ministry’s Choir, several good will messages and testimonies were also shared about the Celebrant.

Mr Adedayo Ajobiewe was born on 4th May, 1964 at Omuo Ekiti, he joined the Service as a class teacher at Omuo Community Grammar School, Omuo Ekiti now Kota Ekiti in April 1991 till 1995 before transferring his service to the old Ondo State Local Government Service Commission.

Ajobiewe was admitted as an Administrative Officer in January 1998 and rose through the ranks in various Ministries and Departments before he was appointed  Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services Department in 2019 till 2022 when he was posted to State Universal Basic Education Board and was posted to Ministry of Local Government Affairs on 17th August, 2023 till his retirement at the attainment of the mandatory 60 years of age.
