Chief Temitope Ajayi Becomes Deputy Chairman, Awo-In- Council, Ekiti State   … pledges to work for Peace, Progress

The chairman, Ekiti state Awo-in-Council, High Chief Faleye Ayodele made this known at the installation of Chief Priest of Itapa Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Chief Temitope Ajayi, the Apeye oko joogun 2 as the Deputy State Chairman of the council, held in Ido-Ekiti.

High Chief Faleye Ayodele who is also the Chief Priest of Ido Ekiti equally installed Chief Ayeni Akintayo from Omuo – Ekiti in Ekiti  Ekiti East Local Government as Assistant Secretary and Chief Ajayi Faponmile from Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government  as Assistant Public Relations Officer

He urged the new officers to use their positions to promote peace, unity and development of humanity and Ekiti state. Adding that God will give them wisdom to discharge their responsibilities effectively. 

While reiterating the importance of Chief priesthood in the society, High Chief Faleye enjoined members of the council across the state to uphold the tenets of tradition. 

“Be courteous, truthful and patient in dealing with people and work harmoniously with your communities to enhance development. The position you occupy today is for a lifetime. it’s only death that can remove you.

“Although we have consulted Ifa oracle before your final appointment, your good character and readiness to serve humanity have been revealed by the oracle, I pray God to endow you with sound health, long life, wisdom and patience to carry out assignments that will be allocated to you.

“We are apostles of peace and development because we consult and make divination for our communities’ development, so our roles cannot be undermined”.

Speaking on behalf of the newly installed officers, Chief Temitope Ajayi appreciated the Council for finding him worthy of the exalted post saying he would work harmoniously with the State Excos to move the Council forward. 

“I am glad to be considered for this post, I will wholeheartedly work and support my chairman to move the Council to an enviable height and also ensure that peace reigns in all the communities in Ekiti state. I will not betray the confidence reposed in me” The Deputy Chairman pledged. 

Chief Temitope Ajayi, the Chief Priest of Itapa Ekiti appreciated the chairman, High Chief Faleye for his leadership roles which he said had earned the council respect and recognition worldwide. He also thanked all members for their belief in him and promised not to betray the trust accorded him.

Recall, Chief Temitope Ajayi is the chairman of Awo- in Council in Oye Local government and Itapa Ekiti.
