The registrar, British Transatlantic Polytechnic, Akure, Ondo State, Mr. Julius Ayodele gave the charge recently in his address during the Valedictory Service for the graduating students of the Christ’s Apostolic Church Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State.

Charging the students with a reference to the popular quote from the late Nelson Mandela, Ayodele made the students to understand  that education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world.

Noting that the goal of Polytechnic Education in Nigeria is to produce graduates with employment skills to function as technicians, technologists and professionals according to the level of training in their field of specialization, the registrar explained that the word British in the name of the Polytechnic is not to promote  western but to showcase to the world that what is obtainable in Britain can be replicated in Nigeria saying “we are equal irrespective of the colour, either black or white”.

Mr.Ayodele who described the students as Champions following their graduation noted that it’s not everyone that started the journey that usually finished, “but right now I have the champions here today being celebrated. Today is your day and make the best of it”. The registrar told the students.

Speaking further, “I am here today to  present award to three of your students who have been given scholarship by British Transatlantic Polytechnic and also, to enlighten you about the opportunities that we offer to students, so that you can make an informed decision about your admission.

“Today, I am delighted to inform you that we are ready to offer up to 50 more students from CAC Grammar school scholarship provided they have 5 credit and score minimum of 100marks in their JAMB examination”. Ayodele announced.
