The innovative and cutting-edge research drive of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti ,(BOUESTI) received further boost following the approval of no fewer than 41 research proposals by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) under the Institution Based Research Grant scheme.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa in a statement noted that the research areas cut accross diverse fields of knowledge and would engender new and ground-breaking discoveries to address problems.
The Vice Chancellor lauded the Federal Government for committing huge resources to research activities through TETFUND adding that it would address some gaps in the nation’s knowledge base. He expressed confidence in the abilities of the beneficiaries of the research grant in the University to deliver on the intellectual exercise and record world-changing breakthroughs.
The TETFUND’s intervention in Research was designed to stimulate the culture of serious research in the nation’s tertiary, institutions with a view to enabling scholars and researchers generate results that should be turned into marketable inventions.
