BOUESTI Appoints First Set Of Professors Since Historic Transition To University

According to a statement from the Office of the Registrar, the decision was taken at the Committee’s meeting held on Tuesday, 17th September, 2024. The new Professors were the first of academics bred within BOUESTI to attain such enviable height since the University was upgraded to a University, from a College of Education. 

Commenting on the development, the  Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa expressed pride in the Committee’s momentus decision, describing the newly minted Professors as not only trailblazers in their respective fields but also a vanguard of a brighter academic future for the University. According to him,  “the elevation of these outstanding academics to Professorship is a testament to their dedication, research excellence and the progressive strides our University is making as an academic powerhouse.”

The newly appointed Professors were selected based on rigorous evaluations of their academic contributions, research publications, teaching experience and service to the University.

5. Prof. Jonathan Oluropo Familugba – Nigerian History

6. Prof. Adebisi Omotade Awodun – Physics Education

7. Prof. Olufunke Olutoyin Boris – Science Education

8. Prof. Abel Bamidele Ibidapo – Industrial Technical Education (Building) 

9. Prof. Temitope Tiamiyu Alade – Physical & Health Education

10. Prof. Oludare Jethro Olojo – Science Education (Computer)
