A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has rejoiced with the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for bagging the Silverbird Man of the year Award (2024).
The former Ekiti Assembly Speaker described the award conferment, slated for March 16, as a well amplified testament to Oyebanji’s gradual assumption of national status as a performing governor and statesman.
Bamisile, representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, said this in his congratulatory message to the governor and released by his Media Office in Abuja, on Saturday.
The All Progressives Congress Chieftain, said the reputable award, regarded as one of the most honourable in the country, can only be earned by an individual like Oyebanji, who has exhibited exceptional leadership mastery that is resonating with the people and garnering acceptability among the populace.
Bamisile appreciated the organisers for deeming the governor fit of being garlanded with such a topnotch award, saying Oyebanji’s enigmatic feat in the execution of the six pillars of his administration, was attracting national attention and admiration.
The lawmaker added that with this recognition, Oyebanji has again succeeded in catapulting Ekiti’s name to a higher and more venerable pedestal in the comity of states, thereby making the state a veritable reference point in development discourse.
Bamisile said: “On behalf of my family and constituents, I congratulate Your Excellency for adding another colourful and resplendent feather to your fitted caps.
“You have again brought pride to us as Ekiti people and we are all proud of your exploits as a public administrator and political leader.
“It is on record that you had earlier been decorated with awards by numerous reputable organisations like: New Telegraph newspapers, Daily Independent Newspapers, Marketing Edge Magazine, Vanguard Newspapers and now Silverbird Bird Television.
“Nigerian Media don’t succumb easily to flippancy. They must have painstakingly researched into the trajectory of your political and administrative participations in Ekiti and found them exhilarating and outstanding. I am indeed proud of these feats.
“I am of the opinion that all these will serve as morale boosters and energizers to your development spirit and position you to give your best in the years to come, so that Ekiti can emerge stronger and better after your tenure”.
