Are You Struggling To Find  Skilled Work Overseas?

You are not alone, there are many others even in advanced countries, they equally have people who are seeking for jobs and not finding because of poor presentation of themselves.

I would like to share with you the three key things required for a skilled work in any country and  sector of the economy you are targeting for work.

1. Skills, the skills are  in two parts ,soft skills and hard Skills. Soft skills has to do with your attitude, the following and many more are soft skills:

a. Team work

b. Time management

c. Communication

d. Problem solving

e. Conflict management

f. Creativity and using initiative etc.

Hard skills, this is not about your degree but professional qualifications and certifications in your target sector, in addition to this, a professional recognition is essential. This is important for you to proof your competency.

For example, if you study computer science, you should  have certification like CCNA, C++ programming etc.

2. Work experience, your work experience is equally important to your employer, most employers want you to hit the ground running the day you are employed. Your work experience must be relevant to the role you are applying for and you should be able to share with your employer what values you can add based on your work experiences.

Your work experiences could be from voluntary or paid work experiences.

3. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A curriculum vitae is an exhaustive listing of all the significant achievements in your career. This should include education, work experience (paid and voluntary work experience). It is everything that qualifies you as a professional in the  sector of the economy you are  targeting for work.

Most people struggle with writing their CV. So if you are struggling, you are not alone. We can help you with your Skills Audit and CV.
