APC NASS Candidate Advises Youths Against Rushing Into Politics        …. “Nigerians Cannot Afford To Gamble In The Coming Election” — Ojuawo

The candidate for the House of Representatives under the Platform of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti South Constituency 1 comprising, Ise/Orun, Ikere and  Ekiti South West Local Government Areas of Ekiti State in  Saturday 25th February, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections in Nigeria, Air Vice Marshall, Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo (rtd), has emphasized the need for youths vying for political positions to learn from the experienced elders first before contesting for any post.

Ojuawo made this known while fielding questions from journalist on a radio programme in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital on why he is contesting with a candidate of the People’s Democratic Party who is much younger to him in age, that he should have allowed the youth to take charge.

According to him, “it is good for youths to come out now but equally necessary for them to learn from the elders as well, so that they won’t just be ordinary bench warmers when they get to the house”. Adding that the elders are more experienced and well exposed than the youths who would just go there to learn instead of making a valuable representation of his people. Nigerians must consider the track records of candidates before voting them. Said Ojuawo.

Clearing air on his rumoured endorsement by the Olukere, His Royal Highness, Oba Ganiyu Ayodele Obasoyin, the Olukere of Odo-Oja, Ikere-Ekiti, during his visit to the monarch, Ojuawo, explained that Olukere only prayed for him which was misconstrued for endorsement as being reported by his media team. Saying  the monarch remains a father to all and that he could only give a Royal blessing to anyone that comes to him and not an endorsement.
