By Olatunde Akande

As Nigerians await the inauguration of the Dangote’s Refineries by President Muhammadu Buhari, on May 22, Lagos State Government has urged residents to plan their movement around Lekki-Epe corridor.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, stated this in a statement issued in Lagos.

He urged residents to plan their movement in and out of the Lekki-Epe corridor between 8.00am and 2.00pm.

He said that it is necessary to alert the public, particularly regular road users in Lekki-Epe zone, due to high vehicular movement that would be witnessed in the axis as a result of the inauguration.

The commissioner advised residents and road users to plan their journeys in order to forestall avoidable delays while traveling.

He explained that Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other traffic enforcement personnel have been directed to man the traffic to ensure its effective management and control.

Oladeinde pleaded with motorists to cooperate with the Lagos State Government for seamless flow of traffic.
