Afenifere Group Commends Gov. Oyebanji’s Initiative On Food Production 

This is contained in the communique issued at the February edition of its monthly meeting in Ado Ekiti held under the leadership of its Chairman, Elder Yemi Alade.

According to the group, Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration’s direct involvement in food production initiative has not only showcased his commitment to addressing the challenge of food insecurity but has also demonstrated his proactive approach towards creating a sustainable food security environment in the state.

The Pan Yoruba socio – cultural and political organisation also hailed the Governor’s unwavering devotion and commitment to the principle of inclusion which has significantly impacted all citizens across the state, irrespective of gender, creed or physical attributes.

Afenifere Ekiti State Chapter acknowledges and appreciates Governor Oyebanji’s efforts in providing a conducive environment for food production while simultaneously focusing on inclusive governance practices that is benefiting all residents of the state.

As a progressive organisation, Afenifere Ekiti State Chapter fully supports and stands behind the Oyebanji’s second term ambition   and encourages all stakeholders and residents to join hands in promoting a more inclusive and prosperous Ekiti State.

However, the.association urged the Governor not to rest on his oars because eternal vigilance is the price of freedom and peace so as to sustain Ekiti  position as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

Afenifere Ekiti chapter also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the steps he has taken to promote good governance and accountability through greater fiscal freedom for all the country’s Local Government Areas as well as the establishment of Development Commissions in the 6 geopolitical zones of the country.

On the recent passing of one of the elders of it’s parent body, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Afenifere Ekiti Chapter, described the demise of the respected Yoruba elder statesman as a painful loss to his race and Nigeria at large.

The group while wishing Chief Adebanjo’s soul sweet repose, sends its condolences to the loved ones he left behind.
