Ado Central LCDA Boss, Toyin Ojo, Renovates Police Post, Builds Classrooms

Hon Ojo made the observation during the commissioning of a police post located in the Ekute axis of Ado-Ekiti which  he renovated and fenced. 

He described the gesture as aimed at meeting the security needs of the Ekute community and its environs. Adding that it was the right step as security is the foundation of any prosperous society. 

With this development, the council chair believes level of crimes in the area would be drastically reduced. 

Hon. Ojo explained that he embark on the project following a report that the  transformer directly in front of the police post was vandalized in the night by hoodlums unchallenged. According to him, “How would this happen?”

He commended the police that despite some challenges facing them, that they have continued as frontline defenders. The LCDA boss enjoined them to always demonstrate fearless, respect for human rights and professionalism in their duties.

Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Shittu Bolanle, appreciated the chairman’s gesture. He promised that the purpose for which the police post was established would be justified. 

Chairman, Ekute quarters landlords and tenants association, Chief Boye Adeoye informed that the police post was built about twenty years ago with the support of the state government to tackle the insecurity that was rampant then.  He said the landlords made significant contributions by purchasing the land and donating building materials.

The community leader was happy that the council deemed it necessary to renovate the police post.

Meanwhile, the LCDA Chairman, also formally handed over a newly completed classroom block to the Orija Community, Ajebamidele, Ado Ekiti. This donation aims to bolster the community’s educational infrastructure and enhance teaching and learning experiences for pupils.

At the ceremony  held at the premises of Orija Community Nursery and Primary School, Hon. Ojo expressed profound gratitude to God for the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to societal development. He also commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi, for expedited approval of the projects, facilitating its timely completion.

Hon. Ojo acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Landlords/Landladies Association of the community and his management staff whose cooperations were instrumental in the project’s success.

According to the chairman, ” during my visit to the school recently to assess 60- meter length reinforced concrete drainage my administration was undertaking at the school, I discovered that the existing classrooms were inadequate to accommodate the growing number of pupils.This development prompted me to embark on the completion of the uncompleted classroom block “

The council chief executive reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to continue initiating projects that would have a direct, positive impact on the lives of the people.

Commissioning the project,Eyesorun Bosede Aladejugbe ,who was represented by the APC party chairman in Ado Ekiti Local Government, Hon.Micheal Akinleye, lauded Hon.Ojo for always prioritizing the unique needs of the people. She charged the school authorities to ensure optimal utilization of the facility.

The Education Secretary of Ado Local Government, Mr. Oluwatoyin Omotoso; the Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Fasunhon Olanike; and the Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA),Mr. Adebayo, commended Engr. Ojo for the project and appealed for the fencing of the school to safeguard the pupils.

The newly completed classroom is equipped with modern furniture and magic board. 

The event drew attendance from stakeholders in the educational sector, top management members of the Council, and other notable personalities.
