30 Traffic Stands Donated To Kano Agency

Genus Inverters Company, has donated 30 traffic control stands to Kano State Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) in its efforts to make Nigerian roads safer.

The company expressed its commitment to work with relevant government parastatals to reduce road accidents and fatalities in the state, with the aim to enhance proactive measures to make Nigerian roads safer.

Representative of the company, Mr Adeyemi Olanrewaju-Isma’il, stated this while handing over the 30 traffic stands to the agency in Kano. 

He said it is a common knowledge that government at all levels are overstretched due to huge demands before it, hence appealed to well meaning citizens to support the government in their various little ways to make life meaningful to its citizens. 

“We discovered that the agency is committed in ensuring traffic safety and sanity and to also relieve Kano state government of some burdens,” he said. 

The company noted that this is in its commitment to work with relevant government parastatals as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the state. 

He said that appropriate intervention can go a long way in preventing accidents and deaths, adding that the initiative of donating traffic stands was necessitated by the number of accidents witnessed on Nigerian roads due to the absence of such facilities.

Receiving the traffic stands on behalf of the agency, its Managing Director, Hon. Baffa Babba-Dan’agundi, lauded the efforts of the company for the donation.

He described the gesture as worthy of commendation, urging other non-profit making organisations to follow suite.

The agency boss said it is always amazing to see his personnel identified with and attract companies to expend it’s resources on it. 

Baffa Dan’agundi pledged that the traffic stands would be distributed to various street within the metropolitan.

He commended his personnel for the job well done and of the view that their performances can only be assured when private entities come to identify with the agency. 

He urged the personnel to properly utilise the stands for its maximum benefit.
