Football Academy of Aba, has emerged the champions of 2022 Federated Youths Soccer Club (FEYSOC) Under-13, while Golden Eagles and Lionaires FA, Enugu won the Under-16 and Under-18 respectively.
Akachukwu FA defeated the Young Stars Academy, Aba by 3-2 on penalty after 1-1 draw at full time to win the trophy in Under-13 category.
Golden Eagles defeated Faze One Football Academy, Imo 4-2 to win the trophy in Under-16 after 1-1 in the 90 minutes action.
Lionaires Youth Club defeated Young Stars of Aba to emerge champions of the Under-18 with two goals from Ugochukwu Edeh and Chidalu Onyema after the interval.
The winners were rewarded with medals, trophy and an undisclosed cash price, while the runner up went home with cash price and medals.
Speaking after the match, Lionaires FA Coach, Christian Ibe, expressed satisfaction with the organisers and dedicated his team success to God.
He rated the 2022 competition high and commended the spectators for their large turn out, while the teams were well organised than the previous years.
The coach hailed organisers for maintaining discipline and ensure that the teams play according to the rules and regulations guiding the tournament.
He commended his team for a good display of soccer that gave them the trophy as they’re determined to go all the way.
