The Accord Party Screening Committee has cleared Governor Ademola Adeleke as the sole aspirant for the party’s governorship ticket.
The chairman of the committee and National Organising Secretary of the party, Ibe Thankgod, confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday. He said the governor fulfilled all requirements for nomination and was therefore certified as the party’s only contender for the ticket.
Thankgod described Adeleke as a credible and qualified aspirant, noting that the committee had no hesitation in issuing the certificate of clearance.
The committee formally presented the clearance certificate to the governor in Osogbo.
Adeleke, in his response, thanked the party leadership and the screening panel for the confidence reposed in him. He said he was prepared for both the primary election and the 2026 governorship contest.
He expressed optimism about the outcome of the polls, saying the party would secure victory by the grace of God.
