In a significant political development, Chief (Hon) Eponlolaye Olufemi, former Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ekiti State, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside thousands of supporters.
The declaration ceremony took place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Ward 5, Ado Ekiti.
Receiving Olufemi, also known as “Able God”, was APC State Chairman, Hon (Barr) Sola Eleshin, who urged party members to unite and work collectively to strengthen the APC for a brighter future.
In his speech, Chief Eponlolaye expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged loyalty, collaboration, and dedication to the APC’s growth. He emphasized unity, stating, “Let’s support each other. Together, we can build a stronger party, community, and nation.”
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Hon Mike Akinleye, LGA Chairman; Hon Mrs. Margaret, Women Leader; and Hon Sunday Ibitoye, representing Hon Toyin Ojo, Ado Central LGA Chairman.
Chief Eponlolaye’s defection is seen as a boost to the APC in Ekiti State, and his new role in the party is expected to be announced soon.
