Member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency I, Hon. Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo (AVM Rtd), has issued a statement to set the record straight regarding claims made by Engr. Kayode Ojo about his involvement in the Ekiti Cargo International Airport project.
In the statement, Hon. Ojuawo denied endorsing or validating Engr. Ojo’s alleged contributions to the project, stating that Ojo’s claims are “entirely false, misleading, and reckless”.
He clarified that Ojo had brought blocks to the airport premises but later removed them, and that no support was received from Ojo towards the construction of the fire station or any other component of the project.
Hon. Ojuawo emphasized that the airport fire station was completed by the Ekiti State Government in mid-2024, and urged the public to disregard Ojo’s claims.
The statement aims to correct the public record and prevent distortion of facts surrounding the project.
