Arise Television journalist, Rufai Oseni, has dismissed viral claims that he was suspended from the station, insisting he has only been away on an officially approved leave.
Oseni, in a series of posts on X on Friday, said the rumours circulating on social media were baseless. He explained that the station had publicly announced the start of his leave two weeks ago and that there was no disciplinary action taken against him.

He said the false reports ignored verifiable information already in the public domain and accused those sharing the claims of deliberate misinformation.
Oseni added that he would return to his duties once he completes his period of rest.
He wrote, “I was not suspended. The lies and fabrications are terrible. Social media na wa.”
In another post, he said, “I have worked for about a year and I decided to go on leave. After I rest small I go return. I love you all.”
He further noted: “At the start of my leave on Thursday last two weeks, it was announced on TV I went on leave. Empirical facts dey, so data bois that lied about suspension una jam Zuma rock.”
