The Management of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has commended the University’s Public Relations and Protocol Unit for its outstanding professionalism, dedication and sustained efforts in projecting the institution’s image with excellence.

The commendation was conveyed by the Vice- Chancellor, Professor Andrew Babatunde Omojola, during a brief presentation at the Vice- Chancellor’s Office on Thursday, July 16, 2026, where a Letter of Commendation was presented to the University’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Temitope Akinbisoye in recognition of his outstanding performance, commitment to duty and remarkable contributions to enhancing the University’s public image.

Coinciding with the 2026 edition of the World Public Relations Day celebration, Professor Omojola noted that the recognition was not merely a celebration of individual excellence but also an acknowledgement of the collective effectiveness of the Public Relations and Protocol team, whose relentless commitment has continued to earn the University goodwill and positive visibility within and beyond the academic community.
The Vice- Chancellor recalled that the professionalism displayed by the Public Relations Officer during the recent congratulatory visit of the University’s Governing Council to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, attracted special admiration and commendation from the Governor, who openly acknowledged the officer’s competence and exceptional conduct during the engagement.
Describing the team’s achievements as worthy of emulation, Professor Omojola observed that within just six months of the present administration, two members of the Public Relations and Protocol Unit (Messrs Temitope Akinbisoye and Tajudeen Agbaje) had received Letters of Commendation from the University Management, a development he said clearly signposts the team’s efficiency, dedication and impact.
He particularly praised the team’s resilience and ingenuity despite operating with limited facilities.
“Even though you lack some facilities that could make your job easier, you are very buoyant in intellect, and you are putting it into good use,” the Vice- Chancellor remarked. “Your commitment has shown that excellence is driven more by creativity, professionalism and dedication than by the abundance of resources.”
Professor Omojola reaffirmed the Management’s commitment to strengthening the Public Relations and Protocol Unit by providing the necessary support and enabling environment to enhance its effectiveness, noting that the University’s growing reputation is closely tied to the quality of its public engagement and institutional communication.
Responding on behalf of the Unit, the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Temitope Akinbisoye expressed profound appreciation to the Vice- Chancellor and the University Management for the confidence reposed in the team. He described the recognition as both an honour and a challenge to strive for even greater excellence, assuring the Management of the team’s continued commitment to promoting and protecting the image of BOUESTI with professionalism, integrity and dedication.
The recognition further reflects the Professor Omojola-led administration’s culture of rewarding excellence and underscores the Management’s resolve to inspire members of staff whose dedication and exemplary service continue to advance BOUESTI’s vision of becoming a globally respected institution of learning.
