Ekiti ATPN Organises Lecture Ahead of 2024 World Tourism Day

The Press Release issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Association in the state, Mr. Charles Abere as signed by the Chairman, Dr.(Mrs) Abigail Olagbaye, says the lecture which is scheduled for Wednesday, 25th September, 2024 with the theme; Tourism and Peace, will hold virtually via zoom at 3:00pm prompt, Nigerian time.

The statement further reveals that the lecture will be featuring the esteemed personalities like the Founder, Tourism and More Inc, Dr. Peter E.Tarlow and the Chairman, House Committee on Culture and Tourism, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Kareem Agunbiade as keynote speakers who are expected to extensively examine and x-ray the phenomenal power and possibilities of peace through tourism and tourism through peace, the  significance and nexus of both concepts, and how this relationship helps to rebuild economies, communities and livelihoods. 

Adding that the panelists at the event include; The Chief Executive Officer, Agbo – Veterinary & Environmental Consult, Dr. Babajide Agboola, Chief Executive Officer, Global Anago Adventures Ltd, Amb. Anago Osho, Chief Executive Officer, Topaz Travels & Tours Ltd, Mrs. Susan Akporiaye and a

lecturer at the Department of Tourism Studies, Ekiti State University, Mr. Abiodun Ojo which will be moderated by the state ATPN Organising and Mobilisation Secretary, Mrs Adesola Oluwasola and the Vice Chairman of the Association in Ekiti, Mr. Dayo Olujekun, as Co-moderator.

The World Tourism Day is usually held on 27th September every year, dedicated to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, and fostering global understanding as well as appreciating the cultural heritage and diversity that tourism brings to the world.

The statement therefore enjoins members of the general public to be part of the epoch making event by registering for attendance.
