Elder Adesoji, PTA Chairman, Ekiti State
The Ekiti State Parent-Teacher Association, PTA, has endorsed Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term, citing his administration’s investments in education and welfare of students and parents.

The endorsement was announced on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, during a press conference in Ado-Ekiti by the state PTA executive council.
Speaking on behalf of the association, the State PTA Chairman, Elder Adeusi Adesoji Pius, said the decision was based on the Oyebanji administration’s “consistent and measurable interventions” in the education sector since 2022.
He listed the achievements that influenced the endorsement to include: free education policy, provision of free instructional materials, renovation and construction of classrooms across the 16 Local Government Areas, recruitment of teachers, regular training and retraining of teachers, payment of WAEC and NECO fees for indigent students, and deployment of ICT facilities to schools.
“Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated commitment to education as the bedrock of development. His policies have directly improved learning conditions for our children and reduced financial burden on parents,” Adeusi said.
He added that the PTA, as a key stakeholder in the education sector, would mobilise parents across the state to support the governor’s re-election bid in 2026.
The PTA chairman expressed confidence that a second term for Oyebanji would consolidate ongoing reforms in public schools and expand access to quality education.
