EKITI 2026: CIPA Cites Scorecard as Evidence of Accountable Governance

CIPA National Coordinator and Director General, Mrs. Abigail Adesina Olagbaye, said Oyebanji’s record provides compelling evidence that accountable leadership produces tangible results across agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, enterprise development, and economic transformation.

According to CIPA, the Oyebanji administration disbursed over ₦400 million for agrochemicals, fertilizers, and improved seeds at a 50% subsidized rate. The government also distributed 20,000 bags of fertilizer free of charge to farmers statewide.

The group said the interventions have boosted food production, reduced farmers’ costs, strengthened rural livelihoods, and reinforced Ekiti’s position as an emerging agricultural hub.

CIPA noted that 25 interstate and intercity roads covering 288 kilometres have been constructed with modern street lighting, improving connectivity, safety, and economic activity.

It added that 135 kilometres of rural roads have been delivered under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP, opening up farming communities and easing the movement of produce to markets.

The group said Oyebanji’s administration provides free medical care to pregnant women, children under five, persons with disabilities, and sickle cell patients at government health facilities.

On entrepreneurship, CIPA said the administration facilitated free Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, registration for 5,432 entrepreneurs, enabling small business owners to formalize operations and access new opportunities.

CIPA cited the completion of the Ekiti Agro-Allied and International Cargo Airport and the commencement of commercial flight operations as a defining achievement. The group said the airport positions Ekiti for investment, agribusiness, tourism, and trade.

“Ekiti people have witnessed a government that listens, a government that works and a government that delivers,” Olagbaye said.

“As citizens prepare to make another democratic choice, we believe the most credible basis for that decision is performance, and Governor Oyebanji’s record speaks clearly for itself.”

CIPA argued that the achievements reflect leadership that has invested in people, connected communities, empowered businesses, and strengthened healthcare.
