The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant for Federal Constituency I, Dr. Yemi Olayinka, has commended party members in Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Areas for turning out to vote in Saturday’s ward-level primaries despite alleged attempts to intimidate them.

Speaking after the exercise at Ward 8 in Ado-Ekiti, Olayinka said the turnout demonstrated residents’ resolve to participate in the democratic process.
“What we have done today is defeat unnecessary and undue intimidation. We want to make it clear that we belong to this state together. I grew up here. Nobody can intimidate us,” he said.
Olayinka stated that some supporters were discouraged from attending and faced threats, but added that their decision to vote affirmed their commitment to the party and the constituency.
He urged members to remain united and focused ahead of the June 20 governorship and legislative elections.
