The Ogun State Police Command has refuted reports alleging that Nigerian entertainer Broda Shaggi was shot within the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the police had no record of such an incident occurring anywhere under its jurisdiction.

According to him, no report of the alleged shooting had been filed at any police formation across the state.
Babaseyi explained that the command could therefore not confirm the claim circulating in some quarters regarding the entertainer.
He added that despite the absence of any official report, the police had commenced steps to verify the information and establish the true situation.
The spokesman noted that the investigation was in line with the command’s commitment to professionalism and transparency in handling public concerns.
The police also appealed to residents to rely only on official updates from the command while inquiries into the matter continue.
He assured the public that the command remains dedicated to ensuring the safety of residents and maintaining law and order throughout Ogun State.
