The Nigerian gospel music scene has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular gospel artiste, Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the widely known Adegbodu Twins.
Confirmation of his passing emerged on Sunday after his twin brother and music partner, Kehinde Adegbodu, announced the sad news via his social media platform.

Reacting to the development, Kehinde poured out his grief in an emotional tribute, describing the deceased as not only his twin brother but also his partner in ministry and music.
“TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification? My heart is bleeding, Lord how do you want me to cope without him? God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!” he wrote.
Over the years, the Adegbodu Twins became notable figures within gospel circles, recognised for their energetic worship sessions and coordinated twin performances at church events and Christian gatherings nationwide.
Their songs and live ministrations attracted a large following, particularly in the South-West, where they ministered regularly and built a loyal fan base.
As of the time of filing this report, details regarding the cause of death and funeral arrangements had not been made public.
