Victory has gone to Daniel Nuhu of the All Progressives Congress in the Kwali Area Council chairmanship election after he polled 17,032 votes to emerge winner.
Trailing behind, Haruna Pai of the Peoples Democratic Party secured 8,575 votes to finish second in the contest.
Confirming the outcome, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission announced the figures at Kwali’s final collation centre on Sunday morning.
With the Kwali declaration, the ruling party has now recorded victories in three of the four area councils announced so far, having earlier secured wins in Abuja Municipal and Bwari, while Gwagwalada went to the opposition PDP.
