Kwankwaso’s Son Resigns as Kano Commissioner Amid Political Realignment

Kwankwaso announced his decision to step down from the State Executive Council in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Monday.

In the statement, he expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Yusuf for giving him the opportunity to serve in the administration, describing his exit as a difficult but thoughtful decision.

Kwankwaso said his time in office afforded him valuable experiences and lessons while contributing to the development of youth and sports in the state, thanking the governor for the confidence and trust reposed in him.

He also expressed hope that the current administration would continue to prioritise youth empowerment and sports development, stressing the importance of sustained investment in both sectors.

Kwankwaso concluded by offering prayers for Kano State and its leadership, wishing the government and people well.

The resignation comes against the backdrop of ongoing political realignments within the Kano State Government following Governor Yusuf’s recent departure from the NNPP.
