The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has described her principal, Governor Biodun Oyebanji as quintessential and exemplary leader, who has carved a remarkable niche for himself as a Champion of quality leadership in Nigeria .
Most rewarding was Oyebanji’s philanthropic gesture, which the Deputy Governor rated as being of high stake and grassroots-driven, thereby making the governor a convincing and true friend of Ekiti masses.
The Deputy Governor, gave the exhilarating commendations in her congratulatory message to Governor Oyebanji on his 57th Birthday Celebration slated for December 21, 2024.
Mrs Afuye, in a statement by her Special Assistant on Media, Victor Ogunje, eulogised the governor for entrenching the culture of “homeboy governance” in Ekiti, which makes the common men to take full ownership of government without inhibition.
Hailing the governor’s decision directing his admirers not to place adverts or stage any party in his honour, but rather channel such resources to empowering the poor and vulnerable groups, Mrs Afuye said this further confirmed Governor Oyebanji as a selfless and sensitive leader of the people.
She described Governor Oyebanji as a special and remarkable gift to Ekiti state and a man of history whose impact, over the years, has helped the common men.
In actions and deeds, the Deputy Governor posited that her boss remains a leader of all seasons, whose conscience and moral strength don’t bend with the trends of different eras, saying the governor remains true to his principles no matter the prevailing situations.
Mrs Afuye was enthralled with how Oyebanji’s leadership has made Ekiti a model in governance through aggressive road infrastructures, steady and progressive human capital development, job creation and touching of other pivotal sectors of the economy, for the liberation of Ekiti and its people from poverty.
The Deputy Governor was upbeat that with Oyebanji in the saddle, Ekiti will continue to expand in leaps and bounds to becoming one of the most developed in Nigeria through the shared prosperity philosophy.
Mrs Afuye said Governor Oyebanji’s 57th birthday offers veritable platform to celebrate a life that is dedicated to the service of fatherland and humanity in general, thanking God for giving Ekiti a man of courage as its leader at this auspicious time.
