Yisa Lamidi Becomes Head Of Traditionalists, Odo Ado, Ado-Ekiti

Dr yisa-lamidi Adamoleku has been installed as the Olori Awo of Odo Ado, Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State.

Dr Adamolekun, who succeeds his late father Chief Yisa Adamolekun, was installed by all the traditionalists in Odo Ado Ekiti due to his outstanding performance.

Speaking to newsmen after his installation, the new Olori Awo of Odo Ado, Ado Ekiti promised to use his present position to contribute to the growth and culture of the land.

Dr Adamolekun promised that he would not be involved in any activity that could bring reproach to traditional religion, urging his people to support him to achieve success in his present position.

He said some bad eggs among traditionalists would be rid off and pledged to unite aggrieved members for the progress of traditional religion in Ekiti State.

He appreciated Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, members of Ewi in Council and other prominent people for their support to make his installation as Olori Awo, Odo Ado, Ado Ekiti a success.

Dr Yisa also called on the Federal and State Governments to give due recognition and assistance to traditionalists being the foremost religion in the country.

The newly installed Olori Awo also appealed to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi to give due recognition to Traditionalists and carry them along in his administration.

In an interview, some of the people who spoke at the installation ceremony, described Dr Yisa Lamidi Adamolekun as a man of the people, saying his behaviour earned him the exalted position.

The newly installed Olori Awo and some of his people danced round the major streets of Ado Ekiti and visited some significant places in line with the tradition.
