
As part of activities commemorating the 2025 WPFD, the Nigeria Union of Journalists Zone B (Southwest States) is presenting a public lecture on the theme“The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Press Freedom and Media”.
The engaging session will explore the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on Journalism,the rise of misinformation and the ethical dilemma facing media professionals in today’s digital landscape.
Statement made available to journalists by the Vice President, NUJ Zone B, Ronke Afebioye-Samo reveals that he event promises insightful discussions to be led by the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari PhD, while the Keynote Speaker is the Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Prof.Rasak Olatunde Kalilu, and Chairman of the event is Alh Bolaji Kareem, a seasoned journalist and former Commissioner for works in Oyo.
The lecture is scheduled to hold at the NUJ Press Center, Iyaganku GRA Ibadan by 11:00am on Wednesday 7th May, 2025.
