Why Our Daughter’s Wedding To Deputy Senate President’s Son Was Moved To Abuja – Bayero’s Family

In a statement issued on Monday, Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano and chairman of the wedding’s organizing committee, explained that the move was motivated by logistical considerations to accommodate a diverse array of guests from within Nigeria and abroad.

Dan Agundi stressed that the decision was solely that of the Bayero family, in line with tradition, which gives the bride’s family the prerogative to choose the wedding venue.

He further clarified that the change had no influence from the groom’s family or any connection to political controversies, particularly the ongoing discussions surrounding tax reform bills.

The wedding, scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2024, in Abuja, is being approached as a significant cultural and religious event.

The family has urged the public to refrain from linking the venue change to political matters, emphasizing the need to respect the sanctity of marriage ceremonies.
