WALBOG Motors Boss Mourns Habeeb Ige, Promises More Support To Professional Boxing

Philanthropist and CEO WALBOG Motors, Olawale Ogunkeyede has expressed grief at the death of Ibadan based professional boxer, Habeeb Oladeji popularly known as ‘Ige’ who died in his sleep.

Ogunkeyede who is also the sponsor of the money spinning grassroots annual WalBog Motors Football Tournament that is being organized among youths teams in Oyo State commiserated with the CEO of Core Afrique Boxing Promotions, (COABOX) Sola Ayodele whom he claimed introduced the boxer to him when he won the national super bantamweight belt.

The auto dealer who is a big supporter of Sports in Oyo State especially boxing said he had been monitoring the progress of the late boxer and noticed that he was one of the best fighters Nigeria had in the super bantamweight category, and he was showing very promising characteristics to rule that boxing category globally.

While pledging his support to the family,he prayed to God to give his immediate family which comprises his mother, father and siblings and the CEO of COABOX the fortitude to bear the loss.

He gave an assurance that he will discuss with the promoter to see how his sports foundation can be doing something annually to immortalize and support the family of the deceased.    

“I have been supporting professional boxing, and I will continue to do so because I noticed that Oyo State has many talented boxers that if well encouraged, will make Nigeria proud at the world level as we can see how our boy, Ridwan Scorpion is doing well in the Asian land.”  

“May God be and console the family Habeeb Ige left behind, as we don’t pray for our boxers to leave untimely like this again, WalBog Sport Foundation will discuss with COABOX to see what can be done to support his family and immortalize him,” said the CEO of WalBog Motors.
