Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman has been named the CAF Men’s Player of the Year at a grand ceremony in Morocco, capping a year of outstanding achievements.
Lookman’s remarkable performances on the field earned him the prestigious award, highlighted by his historic hat-trick in the Europa League final, which secured victory for his club.
The Atalanta forward also played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s journey to a silver medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, scoring three goals during the tournament.
At the club level, Lookman consistently delivered standout performances, cementing his reputation as one of Africa’s most prolific players. His exceptional form did not go unnoticed globally, earning him a spot among the 30 Ballon d’Or nominees, where he impressively finished 14th.
