Uncertainty Surrounds Bobrisky’s Fate After Arrest, Hospitalization

According to Deputy Controller of Immigration, Kenneth Udo, Bobrisky was apprehended as “a person of interest” by the NIS. Since his arrest, he has been undergoing interrogation, but no further details regarding his legal status have been confirmed.

A source within the Immigration Service, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Bobrisky was taken to an undisclosed hospital due to rising body temperature and other symptoms that required medical attention.

Attempts to obtain further information from NIS spokesperson, DCI Udo, regarding Bobrisky’s health or his potential court appearance were unsuccessful, as Udo did not respond to calls or messages at the time of this report.

In a separate development, a panel established by the Federal Government to investigate claims that Bobrisky did not serve his six-month jail term in prison submitted its report to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The panel, led by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, found no evidence to support the allegations but confirmed that Bobrisky had received certain privileges while serving his sentence.

Bobrisky remains in NIS custody after allegedly attempting to flee the country.
