
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC), signing the bill into law.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced this on Tuesday during a Senate plenary, expressing confidence that the commission would drive grassroots development in the region.
“Mr President has assented to the North-Central Development Commission Establishment Bill 2024 to enhance grassroots development,” Akpabio stated.
He congratulated the people of the North-Central region and wished them progress and peace as the country continues its nation-building efforts.
